Matt Cuff

Matt serves as Moseley’s chief financial officer (CFO), overseeing and managing the firm’s financial health. His role allows him to blend his love of data and accounting, his talent for solving complex problems, and his interest in understanding how organizations operate and helping them make better long-term decisions. He believes that understanding people, projects, and operations is just as vital to his role as understanding the numbers. As a result, he enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the firm to find practical solutions that move Moseley forward.
Paramount to his role is the ability to help the firm make sound, informed decisions. This requires Matt to fully grasp the financial implications of firm activity, from hiring and compensation to technology investments and acquisitions. He strives to do so while keeping a constant eye on the long-term health of the business. His approach positions him and his team as trusted partners, as they provide timely information, improve processes, and equip their colleagues with insights crucial to success. Matt takes great pride in what his team has accomplished together through modernizing financial systems and processes and creating a stronger foundation to support Moseley’s continued growth.
Matt leads his team with a calm, analytical mind that is always looking for ways to improve. While internalizing Moseley’s goals and helping the firm move toward them in his own day-to-day tasks, he helps others do their best work as well by treating them with respect, kindness, and honesty. He believes that serving with humility and recognizing others’ differences and unique strengths are essential to the morale and effectiveness of his team, as the best outcomes often come from bringing together different perspectives in pursuit of a common goal.
