Community Involvement

Michael chose architecture to unite his passion for mathematics and science with artistic expression, merging technical skills with creativity. His experience spans K–12, multifamily housing, higher education, civic spaces, and continuing care retirement communities, providing him with a broad perspective that informs each project. This range of work enables him to approach design challenges with an open mind and a fresh outlook.

Michael prioritizes function over excess, promoting rational solutions through careful analysis. His designs emphasize strong connections between interior and exterior spaces, purposeful vistas, and intuitive orientation to enrich the occupant experience.

His early interests in model building and sketching fostered a deep understanding of structure and visual communication—skills that continue to shape his architectural approach. Over time, these foundations have evolved into his hallmark strengths of flexibility, patience, and perseverance. As a leader, Michael demonstrates these qualities through transparent communication and active listening, setting an example while celebrating team successes.
